How To: Add an Online Store Add-on to a Reservation
Make the most of your reservation process by seamlessly adding retail items guests will love with Online Store Add-ons.
Summary:
Learn how to add an Online Store Add-on to a reservation using Campspot's Admin Site or Consumer Site. This article outlines two scenarios for adding these items during the booking process and explains system limitations for adding them after a reservation is confirmed.
Adding an Online Store Add-on During the Reservation Process
Online Store Add-ons are retail-based items, such as firewood, ice, or refreshments, that can be offered to guests during the reservation process.
Here’s how you can add these items:
If a Front Desk Agent is Creating the Reservation in the Admin Site:
- Begin the reservation as usual by adding a site to the shopping cart.
- On the Available Add-ons screen (during the booking flow), select the desired Online Store Add-ons from the available list.
- Continue through the booking process to confirm the reservation with the selected add-ons.
If a Guest is Booking Online:
- Guests booking through your Consumer Site or Campspot's Marketplace will see available Online Store Add-ons during the reservation process, also.
- They can select and purchase these items along with their reservation.
Adding an Online Store Add-on After the Reservation Is Confirmed
Important Limitation:
Online Store Add-ons can only be added during the reservation process. Once a reservation is confirmed, there is no functionality to retroactively add Online Store Add-ons through the Admin Site or the Consumer Site.
Why?
Unlike Daily Add-ons, which can be added to confirmed reservations, Online Store Add-ons are tied directly to the booking process. This limitation helps manage inventory and ensures the park can prepare the selected items ahead of the guest's arrival.
Pro Tip: Encourage guests to review all available add-ons during their booking process to avoid missing out on these convenient options. If they wish to purchase a POS item that is also an Online Store Add-on, this can be done during the check in process by using the POS page in your Admin Site.
