Base Pricing Reports

Campspot's Base Pricing is pivotal for establishing nightly rates, ensuring precise pricing, and optimizing revenue management for campgrounds. Your Admin Site employs a report generated by the system to manage rates effectively.

When searching "Base Price" on your reports page, you'll encounter multiple Base Pricing reports. Use this article to better understand which report you should use and when. You will learn how to manage rates for:

  1. Campsites (Site Types)
  2. Daily Add-ons

Base Prices for Campsites

This report is essential for defining nightly pricing for your Site Types. There are two report options, each serving distinct purposes:

Report 1: Base Prices for Campsites

Utilize this report if your park already has existing rates in your Admin Site. Upon onboarding with Campspot, your initial rates are typically uploaded into the system. You'll use this report to update rates periodically, as dictated by your strategy of implementing rate adjustments.

Report 2: Base Price Template for Campsites

This report is specifically designed for onboarding, typically handled by the Campspot team to upload the initial rates for your Admin Site.

As a best practice, the only time you will want to use this report is as part of the instructions followed you Add a New Site Type. This report will be ran solely to get a Site Type ID to transcribe into the Base Prices for Campsites report.

Exercise caution when using this report, as it will erase preexisting rates if uploaded. This report should be primarily used for identifying newly added Site Type IDs. Please contact Campspot for clarification.


Base Prices for Add-Ons

Similar to Campsites, defining nightly pricing for Daily Add-On Types also involves two report options, each serving specific purposes:

Report 1: Base Prices for Add-Ons

This report is intended for parks with existing rates in the Admin Site. Like with Campsites, initial rates are typically uploaded into the system upon onboarding. You'll use this report to update rates periodically, as dictated by your strategy of implementing rate adjustments.

Report 2: Base Price Template for Add-Ons

This report is specifically designed for onboarding, typically handled by the Campspot team to upload the initial rates for your Admin Site.

As a best practice, the only time you will want to use this report is as part of the instructions followed you Add a New Site Type. This report will be ran solely to get a Add-On Type ID to transcribe into the Base Prices for Add-Ons report.
