Toast POS Integration: Setup Guide

New to Toast? Integration Requirements for New Customers:

If you are new to Toast, follow these steps to get started:

  1. Learn More: Complete this form to receive detailed information about the integration.

🚨🚨Important: When setting up your Toast account, ensure you include the following:

  • Toast Restaurant Management Suite
  • Hotel PMS Subscription

Once your Toast account is configured, proceed to Step 1 under "Integration Instructions."

      Already Using Toast? Integration Requirements for Existing Customers:

      If you already have a Toast account, follow the instructions below to complete your integration setup.

      Important: Verify your Toast account includes the following:

      • Toast Restaurant Management Suite
      • Hotel PMS Subscription

      If you do not have these features enabled, contact Toast support to update your account before proceeding.


      Integration Instructions:

      Step 1: Verify User Permission in your Campspot Admin Site

      Before initiating the integration setup, ensure the user(s) completing setup in Campspot has the necessary permissions to view and edit integrations. Follow these steps in Campspot:

      1. Navigate to User Management.
      2. Click on Roles in the top right corner.
      3. Find and click on the User Role assigned to the User requiring access to Integrations.
      4. Click on Customize permissions under Campground Setup.
      5. Verify the "View and Edit Integrations" permission is checked.
      6. Click Save Changes, if changes were made.

      Step 2: Campspot To Configure Integrations Page

      Once you submit the Campspot Point of Sale Integration Signup form, Campspot will configure the integrations page within your Admin Site. After this step is complete, you can continue with the setup.

      Step 3: Activation within Toast

      The following services must be enabled in your Toast account:

      • Toast Restaurant Management Suite

      • Hotel PMS Subscription

      If these are not already part of your Toast package, contact your local Toast Sales Representative to add them.

      Step 4: Request Consent and Set Up the Integration in Toast

      Once you've completed Step 3, follow the instructions found on Toast's Support Site. Part of this includes navigating to Toast's Integration Marketplace and request consent through the Campspot listing there. 

      Step 5: Set Up Your Toast Room Charge Payment Method

      Before beginning onboarding, your Room Charge payment method in Toast must be configured by the Toast Integrations Team. This enables your team to connect to your Campspot environment and select the appropriate site to post charges to during checkout in Toast.

      If you’d like to customize the name of this payment type, follow the steps below:

      1. Log in to Toast and select your Toast location

      Make sure you’re connected to the correct location where you’ll be posting room charges.

      2. Navigate to:

      PaymentsPayment MethodsOther Payment Options

      If the Room Charge method is already configured, you’ll see it listed under “Other Payment Options.”

      3. Edit the payment name (optional)

      Click on the payment method and update the Name field if you'd like to adjust how this button displays on the POS.

      4. Ensure it’s visible on the POS

      To make the payment type usable by your team, ensure Show on POS is set to Yes.

      • By default, this setting is disabled—be sure to update it or your team won’t see the option.
      • Repeat this setup for each Toast location that will be using the integration.

      Step 5A: DataHub Setup Profile by Omniboost (no action required from campground)

      After your Toast payment method is configured, the Omniboost team will create your integration profile within the DataHub platform.

      They’ll link the On Room Payment Type created in Toast to your Campspot environment.

      Once the connection is complete, Omniboost will notify your Campspot representative. You can wait to hear confirmation from your Campspot representative that this has been done. 

      Step 6: Testing the Integration

      To ensure the integration is fully configured, test the following in Toast:

      • Look up an active camper from Toast

      • Post a room charge to Campspot

      • Post a service charge to Campspot

      • Post a refund or negative charge to Campspot

      Step 7: Campspot Team Internal Processes

      Campspot will complete some internal processes to finalize and activate the integration. No additional action is required from the park at this stage.
