What is Iterable?

Iterable is a cross-channel marketing platform designed to help businesses manage and automate personalized customer communications. It allows you to build and send targeted messages like emails, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messages based on user behavior, data, and events.

Integration Features

This integration includes two data syncs, both running daily:

1. Guest Sync (maps to Users in Iterable)

Automatically sends guest profile information and associated reservation history.

Data includes:

• Name, contact info, address
• Booking history going back three years (first and last booking dates, total reservations, total spend)
• Associated reservation data such as:
  
  • Site type, site name, check-in/check-out dates, adults/children/pets
  • Cancellation status and reasons
  • Add-ons and their details

2. Reservation Sync (maps to Purchases in Iterable)

Sends transactional reservation-level data.

Data includes:

• Reservation totals and item breakdowns
• Park and site details
• Dates, stay length, guest demographics
• Cancellation info and source data
  
  

Both syncs help enrich Iterable audience profiles with insightful data to help you create more personalized messaging.

Integration Requirements

To use the Iterable integration, you'll need:

• An active Iterable account
• A valid server side API key from your Iterable account (must create this in Iterable) 
• To complete the Iterable Integration signup form [HERE].

Integration Setup Instructions

Step 1: Sign Up for Iterable

Create an account at iterable.com if you don’t already have one.

Step 2: Fill Out the Signup Form

After confirming you have an Iterable account, our team is here to help you successfully set up your integration. To get started with Campspot you'll need to complete the signup form [HERE].

After receiving the sign up form the Campspot team will activate the integration and you will be able to see the new Iterable functionality in the admin site. Our team will process your request and activate the integration within 1–2 business days.

Step 3: Verify User Permission in your Campspot Admin Site

Before initiating the integration setup in Campspot, ensure the user(s) completing setup has the necessary permissions to view and edit integrations. Follow these steps in Campspot:

1. Navigate to User Management.
2. Click on Roles in the top right corner.
3. Find and click on the User Role assigned to the User requiring access to Integrations.
4. Click on Customize permissions under Campground Setup.
5. Verify the View and Edit Integrations permission is checked.
6. Click Save Changes if changes were made.

Step 4: Create Your Iterable API Key

In Iterable:

1. Navigate to Integrations > API Keys
   
2. Click New API Key and copy it for the next step
   
   

Step 5: Connect Iterable in your campspot admin site

Follow the steps below to adjust the necessary settings in your Admin Site: 

1. Go to Integrations in your Campspot Admin Site
2. Find Iterable, and click the green Connect button
   
3. Paste your API key into the field provided
4. Click Save
   
   

That's it! Your data will begin syncing during the next scheduled run (daily). The sync includes all historical guest and reservation data from your active parks.

FAQ

Q: How often does the data sync run?

Daily. Syncs run once every 24 hours. Future updates may allow for near real-time reservation syncs.

Q: Can I choose which data to sync?

You can choose between:

• Guest Sync only
• Guest + Reservation Sync
  The specific data fields included are standardized and cannot be customized at this time.

Q: What customer and reservation information is sent to Iterable?

In Guest Sync: 

Guest Demographics: Email address, phone number, first name, last name, address, city, state, post code, country, first booking origination date, last booking origination date, total reservations, total spend

 

Reservation objects: Confirmation number, park ID, park name, property code, number of sites, park address, park city, park state, park postal, referral source, group name, is person blocked?, is opted into SMS messaging, status, total cost, total cost with tax, campsite reservation, number of adults, number of children, number of pets, site category, site type, site name, site origination date, site check in date, site check out date, site booking window, site length of stay, site is cancelled?, site reason for cancellation, site cancellation date, site is locked, site promo code, site daily rate name, site request origin, rv length, rv slideouts, rv type, site cost, site cost with tax, site ADR

Q: Do I need a developer or any technical work to implement this?

No. Once you've created an API key through the integration and completed the form, no technical work is required on your end.

Q: Can I use this integration if I manage multiple parks?

Yes. This integration is especially useful for multi-park operators. It enables brand-level segmentation and campaign targeting across properties.

Q: Will this integration cost anything?

Campspot fees:

Campspot charges a $10 per month per park fee to access select integrations. If you are already taking advantage of another integration for your park, there will be no added setup costs.

Iterable fees: 

All fees for Iterable should be discussed directly with them or should be according to their pricing policy.
