Getting Started with Google Tag Manager

If you're new to GTM, follow these simple steps to create your account and get started, however, if you already have a Google Tag Manager account, skip to step 2:

Step 1: Create a Google Tag Manager Account

  1. In Tag Manager, click the Accounts tab > Create account.
  2. Enter an Account Name and select the country for the account.
  3. Enter a descriptive Container name and select the container type.
  4. To create your container, click Create and agree to the Terms of Service.
  5. Once your container is created, select Web and AMP as the container type.

Step 2: Find Your Container ID

  1. In Tag Manager, click Workspace.
  2. Near the top of the window, find and copy your container ID, formatted as "GTM-XXXXXX".

Step 3: Integrate with Campspot

  1. Log in to Campspot.
  2. Navigate to Consumer Site Admin.
  3. Click on the Analytics tab.
  4. Paste your container ID into the Google Tag Manager input field.
  5. Click Save Changes to complete the integration.
