Google Tag Manager: Setup

Learn how to install Google's no-code analytics management solution

What is Google Tag Manager (GTM)?

Google Tag Manager is a free tool offered by Google that simplifies the process of managing and deploying tracking codes and analytics tags on a website. It allows you to add and update website tags in an interface, without modifying the website's code directly, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in tracking user interactions and implementing marketing tools.

Why do we use Google Tag Manager?

GTM allows you to house all your tracking codes and scripts in one central location, simplifying the management and organization of various tags. Instead of manually adding and updating individual tracking codes on each page, Google Tag Manager provides a streamlined interface where you can easily build and deploy analytics tags, marketing tags, and other tracking elements. This saves time and reduces the risk of errors.

Additionally, by implementing Google Tag Manager, you only need to install a single container tag on your website, regardless of the number of different tracking tools or use cases. This eliminates the need for multiple installations, reducing complexity and potential conflicts.

Ultimately, Google Tag Manager offers a more efficient and user-friendly solution for managing and deploying tracking codes, streamlining the process of data collection and analysis for your business.
